Today Jesus stands with open arms calling us to come to Him. He knows we cannot do life on our own – He knows we need Him. So He is calling us to come to Him for His approval, His approbations and His anointings. He is standing with open arms for us today, wherever we are!

On Sunday, August 7th, Mother, who was born in Hartford, Conneticut on August 7th, 1911, would have celebrated her 100th birthday had she lived to see this day!  My brother Paul’s wife, Hanni, bought gladiolas to remember her, and Paul sent us all a picture.  That got the ball rolling!  I too purchased some glads that are today blooming beautifully and reminding me of the very precious, wonderful mother we had.

Proverbs 31:28, Living Bible, says, “Her children stand and bless her…so does her husband”.

I think all 7 of us siblings stood to bless her on Sunday, and I think Daddy in heaven may have blessed her too!  The one thing I loved about my m0m is the way she and our dad loved each other.  Never once in my life did I have reason to fear that they might one day leave and never come back.  That thought was just not in our paradigm of life!  We ALL knew that Mom and Dad loved each other, and that they both loved us – we knew it deep in our hearts.

On August 7th my prayer was this, and I give you permission to make my prayer yours -

“Father, I thank You for a mother who loved me and prayed for me and totally released me to You.  She was a great mother.  She gave all she had to give for her family – the ones she loved.  I honor her in my heart today and rise to call her blessed!  Enable me to live within the boundaries of Your love and to be a blessing to the ones I love who call me Mom and Nanny!”
